Tutoring

Edwards Street Fellowship Center is excited about our partnership with Earl Travillion Attendance Center to provide in-school tutoring for kindergarten-3rd grade students. If you would like to volunteer, contact ESFC to begin the enrollment process. Volunteers meet with the school principal, then submit paperwork to the Forrest County School District for a background check.

DAYS: weekdays during the school year.
TIMES: Any time between 8:00-10:00 a.m. that fits your schedule.
FREQUENCY: Once per week when school is in session.
TIME COMMITMENT: 45 minutes to one hour once per week. Just let us know the amount of time you're willing to commit.
LOCATION: Earl Travillion Attendance Center, 316 Travillion Rd., Hattiesburg. You'll work with a small group of students in a populated area, such as the back of a classroom or the school library.
STUDENT PROFILE: K-3rd graders identified by teachers as possibly benefiting from one-on-one tutoring.
MATERIAL: Teacher will provide worksheets or other material. You can specify your area of interest: reading or math.
